Augustine Black Label Low Tension Classical Guitar Strings
Augustine Black Label concert strings have light tension bass strings and low tension Classic treble strings, and are an excellent choice for delicate or sensitive classical guitars, that respond well to a lighter touch. Black Label bass strings are silver plated copper wound for a deep and resonant tone. The treble strings are Albert Augustine's "Classic" clear nylon treble strings, which he created for Andres Segovia in 1947, with the original DuPont nylon formulation. They have clear and warm treble tones, and preserve the "Classic" treble sound. Augustine Black Label strings give you a very smooth sound, with even string to string volume and tonal connection, and total harmony from one end of the fretboard to the other. Though they are a low tension string set, they are not weak in voice. They are exceptionally responsive to you input, and can be as loud as you want them, depending on how hard you want to play. Augustine classical guitar strings are named according to bass string density and treble string tension class, in accordance with the type of feel and string response desired.
This set consists of light density Black basses and low tension Classic trebles. Low tension strings give up nothing in tone and projection, and sound just as rich and warm as higher tension classical strings. You will find your attack will adjust to them naturally, and your guitar will open up more of its own natural tones.
Black Label strings come in Augustine's new packaging, including a sealed plastic pouch containing three white paper envelopes, each containing a bass and a treble string. The sealed plastic pouch ensures you strings are protected form the environment, and stay fresh until you open them. Augustine did not change the strings, only the packaging.
