D'Addario EJ45C Composite Normal Tension Classical Guitar Strings Strings
D'Addario Pro-Arte EJ45 normal tension strings have been a best seller for years, with their smooth balance and even, clear tones. To make them even better, D'Addario has introduced EJ45C Composite strings, featuring an advanced multi-filament, stranded Zyex composite core for the wound strings. The composite core bass strings delivers a powerful, but warm tone which lasts 2 to 3 times longer than traditional classical strings.
About the treble strings: EJ45C composite strings feature traditional mono-filament, clear treble strings; but each set include an alternate composite third (G) string. Composite 3rd/G string is a caramel colored Composite mono-filament, with a buffed texture which blends the tone and vibrancy of the wound bass strings and the clear, smooth mono-filament treble strings.(Some say the color of the Composite G-string is more like coffee with cream. Sugar is optional.

String Tension

Knowing how a string set ranks on tension is one of many factor to consider when choosing your strings. Tension comparisons can help you get an idea of how a set will respond and feel, and how your guitar may react to them. Higher tension is not necessarily ideal or even better. It depends on you and your guitar.

About Composite Strings: Although EJ45C wound strings may look a lot like normal wound strings, they have cores of stranded Zyex fiber. The Composite 3rd/G strings is mono-filament Zyex. Zyex is a high-tech, polyketone polymer fiber with increased mechanical and physical properties, and an exceptionally long endurance life. Zyex is golden to beige in color and has many applications, one of which is music strings. Because of the increased tensile strength and low elongation properties of Zyex strings, EJ45Cs tune up right away and tend to stay in tune, after an initial three to six hour break-in period. That means they are ready to play and perform almost immediately. These strings will also retain their fresh sound and brilliance far longer than ordinary strings. So, why hold back? Why not try them out and see for yourself?
D'Addario strings are made in Farmingdale, New York. These are the real thing, not counterfeits.
