High Tension Composite Strings
Savarez 540J classical guitar strings feel and sound like no other. They are a combination of modern material technology for treble strings and the highest development of traditional wound bass strings. The feature KF Alliance trebles and HT Classic basses.
Clear Treble Strings: The KF Alliance treble strings are a special composite mono-filament string, developed by Savarez. The evolution of the classical treble string has gone from gut to nylon, now to high tech composite; with higher density, strength, and longer life ("Long Play") than nylon. With their uniform crystalline micro structure and superior acoustic characteristics, these strings produce clear and energetic tones, with longer sustain. Because they are stronger and more dense than nylon strings, KF Alliance treble strings are thinner and dissipate less energy to the air, and more to the sound board of the guitar. The higher density, smaller diameter, and higher string tension relates to a higher tensile stress in composite strings, which improves their resonance and sustain characteristics over that of nylon. Higher tensile stress enables them to ring true, and retain their vibrating energy longer. It's like a turbo boost for your strings. The third string provides a smooth transition between the second and fourth strings, without the annoying third string tone differnce frequently encountered with nylon strings.
Wound Bass Strings: The 540J silver plated bass strings are a more traditional design, on a multi-filament nylon core. However, Savarez has perfected this design so they produce a rich tone with ample projection and power. Their response and feel is a close match for the KF Alliance trebles, and together they produce a well balanced string set with pleasing sonic qualities.
